Several of us in Hay have been inspired by this community's voluntary action to grow and campaign for local food, and would love to start a similar project here. Let us know what you think. Do you know of any unused land around Hay that would be suitable for growing food?
If you are interested in local food come along to the Community Fair on 29th September and share your ideas.

Hay-on–Wye, world renown as ‘the town of books’, is a small market border town of 1500 people that lies at the heart of a rural community of some 17,000. At a time of increasing economic difficulty, we need to build on the unique character of Hay, thereby ensuring jobs, prosperity, economic security and an increasing sense of well - being for everyone. A new open and democratic organization called Hay Together is being formed to answer this need.
