Aims and Objectives

The aim of Hay Together is:

·         to promote and improve our town’s well - being and aid the development of our already thriving local community.

We will achieve this by:

·         encouraging pride in our community by making the most of our local, national and international reputation as a centre of  books, arts and recreation.

·         making our community more resilient in these uncertain economic times. 

·         encouraging all sections of our community to reduce their ecological footprint by developing low impact and low carbon ways of life.

·         including and giving voice to the passion, enthusiasms and skills of all sections of our community.

·         providing a democratic framework within which people may participate fully in the decision-making processes that affect much of our daily lives.

·         building new and innovative partnerships between the community and the statutory authorities so as to make best use of available resources.

·         planning and carrying through both short and long term projects of all sorts that will be of benefit to everyone in our community now and in the future.
